Strake Jesuit Esports Club
SJES is an esports club made up of high school students from the Houston, TX area who currently attend Strake Jesuit. We compete at a high level in several games on High School Esports League.
About Our Club
We believe that creating bonds with fellow classmates through a medium that everyone enjoys is a great way to develop lasting friendships. Playing and competing in a competitive environment can help improve certain skills as well such as leadership and teamwork. Our goal is to have fun while learning and competing at the highest level possible.
The Strake Jesuit Esports Club will be competing in the High School Esports League, as well as hosting Strake Jesuit LAN tournaments. Our club also will be focused on hosting school-wide tournaments throughout the year in a ranging variety of games. Our idea is inspired from the existing intramural system, and we want to expand this idea into the world of video games.
The Games We Compete In
We compete at a high level in a wide variety of popular multiplayer video games on the PC and modern consoles. The games we play range from first person shooters like Overwatch, fighting games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and battle arena games like League of Legends. The games we compete in change according to the teams we currently roster. We are always looking to expand the games we play and the teammates on each games roster.
